Harvard Book Store welcomes [**Erik Baker**](/people/erik-baker)—Lecturer on the History of Science at Harvard University—for a discussion of his new book [Make Your Own Job: How the Entrepreneurial Work Ethic Exhausted America](https://www.hup.harvard.edu/books/9780674293601), a sweeping new history of the changing meaning of work in the United States. He will be joined in conversation by [**Walter Johnson**](https://www.radcliffe.harvard.edu/people/walter-johnson)—Winthrop Professor of History and Professor of African and African American Studies at Harvard University and a contributing editor at *Boston Review*.
