#  HoS Professor Naomi Oreskes Awarded the 2024 Suppes Prize

Prof. Oreskes will receive the prize from the [American Philosophical Society](https://www.amphilsoc.org/) in recognition of her book [Science on a Mission: How Military Funding Shaped What We Do and Don't Know about the Ocean ](/publications/science-missionhow-military-funding-shaped-what-we-do-and-don%E2%80%99t-know-about-ocean)(University of Chicago Press 2021).
