#  LGBTQ Grad Student Student Group Honors Evelynn Hammonds

Evelynn Hammonds, Chair of the Department of the History of Science; Barbara Gutmann Rosenkrantz Professor of the History of Science; and Professor of African and African American Studies has received another leaf for her well-earned laurels. The Harvard grad student group [LBTQ@GSAS](https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/lgbtqgsas/home) has inaugurated the Evelynn Hammonds Award for Exceptional Service to BGLTQ+ Inclusion as part of its first ever [Lavender Graduation ceremony held during Commencement 2021](https://gsas.harvard.edu/news/stories/exceptional-service-lgbtq-community).
