 *Research Interests: Arabic Science, Islamic Intellectual History, History of Books, Natural History, Graeco-Arabic Translation Movement, Medieval Literature.*

 Iman Darwish completed her PhD in the History of Science. Her research explores the development of the study of plants and animals, and the ways whereby knowledge about the natural world was constructed and developed during the Formative Period of Islamic history. Her research also explores the intersection between the thriving book culture and scientific culture during this period.

 Iman’s previous research focused on Classical Arabic Literature. Prior to her studies at Harvard, Iman worked in Manufacturing as an Engineering Project Manager.
