Mateo Mauricio Montoya
Research Interests: History of economics, quantification; history of state and colonial administration.
Mateo is an Ashford Fellow and PhD student in the History of Science department. He is interested in government and its relations with political economic thought beginning in the Early Modern period. He is currently researching the influence of the Jesuit reductions among the Guaraní in Paraguay on European economic and political discourse (c. 17th-18th centuries).
