*Research Interests: History of medicine; history of global health/health policy; health inequity; disability.*

I completed an AM degree in History of Science in Spring of 2025. I focus on 20th century medicine and global health, specifically histories of substance abuse disorders, disability, and the private sector’s impact on public health and therapeutics. I have long been interested in understanding the tobacco industry’s role in perpetuating historical health inequities. My work in this area aims to draw meaning from past industry tactics and regulatory efforts in order to better understand contemporary nicotine addiction in the United States, especially in disadvantaged groups and through e-cigarettes. In global health, my recent research examines the history of nutritional blindness and its associated pediatric mortality in developing nations, offering insights into global health’s evolution since the 1950s. I’m particularly interested in the methods used to determine global health intervention efficacy, the impact of global health on American medical education, and the pharmaceutical industry’s role in sponsoring projects abroad.
