Katie Baca
Research Interests: Baca’s PhD research focused on the intersections of nineteenth century science and studies of women, gender, and sexuality.
Katie Baca is a Preceptor in Harvard College’s Writing Program. In 2019, she received her PhD from Harvard’s History of Science Department with a secondary field in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. Her PhD research focused on the intersections of nineteenth century science and studies of women, gender, and sexuality. She has worked for Fidelity Management & Research, the Darwin Correspondence Project, and the Tyndall Correspondence Project. She received her bachelors from Harvard in History and Science with a secondary field in Economics.
Baca has also taught intensive pre-college courses on Darwinism at the Harvard Summer School
