Sarah Igo Andrew Jackson Professor of History, & Dean of Strategic Initiatives, College of Arts & Sciences Vanderbilt University
Sarah Igo received her A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard University and her Ph.D. in History from Princeton University. At Vanderbilt she is affiliated with Law, Political Science, and Sociology. She published The Averaged American: Surveys, Citizens, and the Making of a Mass Public in 2007. Her most recent book is The Known Citizen: A History of Privacy in Modern America, 2018. Among other awards, the book won the Jacques Barzun Prize in Cultural History from the American Philosophical Society.
