HoS Alumna Jamie Marsella awarded the Lerner-Scott Prize by the Organization of American Historians

The History of Science Department extends its warmest congratulations to Jamie Marsella, now Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the Institute for Religion, Culture and Public Life at Columbia University, on being awarded the Lerner-Scott Prize by the Organization of American Historians for her dissertation "Beyond Better Babies: Religion and Eugenic Maternalism in Progressive Era Child Welfare Reform." The prize is awarded to "the best PhD dissertation in U.S. women's history."
