Graduating HoS Concentrator Alyssia Wiesenbauer profiled in FAS Current

History and Science Concentrator Alyssia Wiesenbauer '26 is profiled in FAS Current, tracing her academic career and emphasizing her volunteering contributions to the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture. 

The article highlights Alyssia's thesis on Hawaiian volcanology, her budding journey into birdwatching, and fascination with local tree species. Inspired by her "curiosity about Hawai'i's natural world," Alyssia's thesis examines how Hawaiian volcanology provides "insight into both Western and Kānaka Maoli ways of thinking" about volcanoes and that "living with volcanoes requires accepting their power."
