Astrid Petropoulos
Research Interests: History of biology; history of medicine; history of psychiatry; history of psychology; medical humanities; museum studies; public health; science policy.
Astrid Petropoulos completed an AM in the History of Science in May of 2025. Her primary interests lie in understanding the historical dynamics of preventative care and public health initiatives. She is particularly focused on the inequality of medical access and understanding how the foundation of such practices shape our current healthcare system. She intends to leverage her experience in multiple laboratories, which provided her with broad exposure to research areas ranging from embryogenesis to infectious disease, to inform her historical work.
Astrid has been working as a research assistant this past year and will be starting a PhD program at Yale University in the fall of 2026.
