Juhee Kang
Research Interests: History of the body; history of the mind; knowledge exchange and re/production; globalization of science and standards; media in science; Japan and empire.
Juhee Kang completed an AM in History of Science at Harvard in May of 2022 as she finishes her PhD in the East Asian Languages HEAL program. Juhee studies how science and technology have been traveling the modern world. In particular, she researches the ideas, techniques, and objects that illuminate and visualize the interaction between the body and the mind. Her Ph.D. dissertation examines the history of testing in modern Japan. Juhee also has written about the political history of the Spanish Influenza where she explored how society responds when there is an incomplete set of knowledge over a life or death problem.
