Michael Ortiz

Research Interests: History of Medicine, Race and Science, US History, Global South Studies, Critical Social Theory, History of Capitalism

Michael is an AM student History of Science and a Ph.D student in the American Studies program. His research focuses on the history of science, capitalism, and imperialism in the 19^th and 20^th centuries and critical social theory. His current project focuses on histories and legacies of medical experimentation in the Global South throughout the post-war era.
