Victor Seow
History of Science Assistant Professor Victor Seow has been selected by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Student Council to receive the Everett Mendelsohn Award for Excellence in Mentorship award this year. Heartfelt kudos to Victor for this special professional achievement!

This award is named for Emeritus Professor Everett Mendelsohn, a long serving member of the History of Science Department and a former co-master of Dudley House at Harvard University. Nominations and judging are conducted entirely by graduate students. It is awarded annually by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences..

We are very proud that this mentoring award is named for Everett. He is noted for his intellectual generosity, egalitarianism, and the breadth of his interests in science and society, and has been a mentor and guide to many individuals during his time in the department. We are also proud to record that five members of our department have won this award since its foundation in 1998, and two Affiliates of the department, Ahmed Ragab and Ann Blair. Their mentoring is a model for us all.
