Synthesis

In the spring of 2009, undergraduates in the History and Science concentration launched a new journal called Synthesis dedicated to publishing undergraduate scholarship -- worldwide -- in history of science and its allied disciplines. More information on Synthesis>>

Travel Grants

Named in honor of the late Professor Barbara Rosenkrantz, a pioneering historian of public health and a great supporter of undergraduate research, this grant program is exclusively for concentrators in History and Science. More information on Travel Grants>>

Internships

Harvard’s Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments (CHSI) is one of the three largest university collections in the world for teaching and research in the history of science and technology.  The History and Science concentration offers motivated concentrators the opportunity to work with scholars, curators and designers on new exhibitions (often undertaken in association with other museums at Harvard and beyond) that are regularly developed and displayed for the public in our temporary exhibition space.
